The Next Installment Is Coming

I am so excited! The second installment in The Nephilim series is available for pre-order! Kara's Quest was intended to be a standalone book but I had so much fun writing her story that I decided to make it a trilogy. So much has happened to Kara since she ventured out on her quest. She hasn't seemed to do anything on her venture except to get into trouble. I suppose that's because she now has wings that she doesn't quite know how to use or make invisible at will. It's not like you can blend in with the world of humans. So, get ready to see what happens to her and her family next.

The Fallen  were angels that were cast out of heaven for disobeying THE ALMIGHTY ONE and choosing to follow Lucius. They were cast down to earth where they mated with human women. What happened to them? What happened to their children? What if after being cast down to earth many changed their minds and wanted to reconcile with THE ALMIGHTY ONE? What if their children did?

My name is Kara Ravencloud. I am a Nephilim, a daughter of the Fallen, which is what I only recently discovered on my quest. I don't think my parents even know this. I've uncovered things I'm sure the council does not want me to tell the others back home. Introducing The Nephilim Series

My daughter dared me to write a book that was totally outside of my comfort zone, hence The Nephilim series was born. I must say that I had an amazing time write the first installation in this trilogy. Kara Ravencloud is an unique teenager who is on the verge of discovering who she really is. Things are not always as they appear. Lord knows, Kara definitely learned this lesson in this series. Kara is a heroine that is quite unique in her own way. At times, I felt eerily connected to her. Her life is not so much different from our own lives. We must all decide on our own who we will choose to serve in our lives. Journey into her world and see where her quest will lead her.

Kara Ravencloud is an unique individual who has been sheltered all of her life until now. She's growing wings and has no clue what she really is. She never knew there were angels, albeit, fallen ones in the town where she lives. To find out her own father was an angel is mind-blowing to her. So, when the Elders send her on a special quest that will destroy life as she knows it IF the people living in her town find out about the items on her quest list.

This was a very unique series and I had a great time writing it. I do hope you all enjoy the book. The second book in the series is coming very soon.

My NanoWriMo Novel

     Every November for the past couple of years, I have participated in a program called NanoWriMo. This program challenges authors to get a book completely written in a month's time. This year I chose to write a Hansel and Gretel retelling. This is my first fairytale retelling. I had so much fun writing the story. It was interesting to find out how much German I actually remembered from my childhood. As a military brat, I lived in Germany for a while. 

     Why incorporate German into the novel? Hansel and Gretel is originally a German fairytale. I wanted to keep it kind of the same feel as the original . So, part of the story takes place in the US and part takes place in Stuttgart, Germany. I'm super excited to get it into your hands. It will be released soon so keep your eyes open.

New Fantasy Series Coming Soon!

      Can you believe it? I, Author Pam Funke, have written another amazing fantasy series and I cannot wait to share it with you. This series was outside of my comfort zone, yes again, but I must say that it took me on an amazing ride. I hope you guys like it. [Bites nails nervously. ] 

     So, the series is called, THE WITCHES OF SANDHILLS STATION. A young girl named Raven Carrington acquires powers that makes her look at her world in a whole new way. She comes from a Christian family so how in the world could she be a witch, right? So, apparently somewhere deep in her family tree she is related to one of 'The' 12 disciples. Are her powers of God OR are they of the devil? That's a question she needs to figure out. 

     This amazing coming of age fantasy is sure to delight your reading senses. Believe me, there is NOTHING out there even remotely close to this new series. Keep your eyes open for the release date.

This YA Fantasy novel follows the journey of Israel White, a 14 year old boy, who though brought up in the church does not yet believe in God. He's not only rebelling against his mother, Ruth White, an archaeologist for the local Biblical museum, but also against God! His family journeys to Damascus in Syria where Israel finds a stone belonging to one of the followers of THE WAY back in the days of Christ. It's quite smooth with the except of the word ISRAEL written in Hebrew on one side. Not realizing what it is, he places it into his pocket and is transported between the world he lives in back to the days of Saul (Paul). Another seed is planted into Israel's heart by Saul....just maybe God really does exist. He still isn't quite sure.
