Christmas Memories

Every year families across the globe gather together during Christmastime and do various traditions. They range from the unusual to traditional. No matter what the tradition is, it will be passed down from generation to generation.
My family has many different traditions. From childhood, I can remember the family gathering together to watch the television specials together. The specials were often animated although many were regular movies. I always enjoyed this time. My all-time favorites were: Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, The Leprechaun's Christmas Gold, Jack Frost, Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer, Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Of course, those are just a few. Every year, if they aired on the television we watched them. I also had the pleasure of baking cookies, pies and cakes with my mom in the kitchen. The house always smelled so good. Sometimes I think we would make extra batches just so we could enjoy some prior to Christmas day.
On Christmas morning, my brothers and I would get up at the crack of dawn to watch the twinkle of the tree lights while we tried to patiently wait for our parents to wake up. More often then not, we would have to wait approximately three to four hours before they would come slowly out to the living room at six am. While waiting my brothers and I would look at all the presents and wonder what was wrapped inside each one. We would also look inside our stockings and sneak a piece of candy. Each year one of us was chosen to play Santa and hand out the presents. That was an honor each of us wanted. Christmas day would then be spent enjoying the gifts we received from one another, family togetherness, enjoying God's love among us and Christmas dinner. As I got older, I had the pleasure of going to church on Christmas Eve with friends to enjoy God's wonderful message of love.
As an adult with children of my own, I have started doing the same traditions with them. My children loved watching the Countdown to Christmas specials with me. They loved the same movies I did as a child. A couple of years, many of the specials did not come on the television. Thank God for VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray. I have since found and purchased the very specials we loved so. Now, it does not matter whether they will come on television or not because we as a family will watch them nevertheless. My children and I would spend days baking goodies together. We would then create cookie boxes to share with neighbors and friends. Part of Christmas Eve would be spent delivering cookie boxes, gifts for friends and spending time with friends and family. Whenever we got the chance, we would dress up and enjoy church service on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning, I imagine, my kids would get up hours before I did. I now slept in until 6 am and would come crawling in so they could enjoy unwrapping their presents. My children would take turns playing Santa and handing out the gifts. I would then take them over to their grandparents' house for more present time and dinner.
Now my children are grown and have little ones of their own. I hope they continue the family traditions and perhaps create some new ones to add to them. What great family traditions does your family enjoy?

Amazing Book Idea

God gave me the most amazing idea for a book in a dream last night. It was so incredible and one in which I remember the entire dream. Can't wait to write about it.

The Apocalypse Series Has a New Installment

Much to the delight of Apocalypse fans, the next installment is in the editing stage of publishing. Look for it to be released come the end of December 2016.

In the midst of World War III all of the Christians have disappeared from the face of the earth leaving those left behind wondering what happened. The UWR uses this as an opportunity to blame the war and chaos on the Christians. Where did a fourth of the world's population go and why did they leave behind piles of clothing behind?

Nicolaitanes Balac has been murdered and the world is at a loss. If Nicolaitanes was the Messiah as the UWR suspected then what happens now? The world continues to spiral out of control and now with Nicolaitanes gone, the world is hopeless. Who can save the world from war and persecution?

Ebook Sale

My author sure has been very busy lately. It's hard to believe there's three books out already about what's going on in my life. Perhaps one of them explains why I'm being hunted down like a dog. If when you're reading you figure it out, by all means please tell me. I would definitely like to know. Especially since I have no recollection of what happened. I don't even know why I even know the man. He's not my type!
In  Operation Dark Angel: The Rise of Nicolaitanes, you'll discover a little history behind Nicolaitanes Balac. You may even be surprised to find out where he comes from. I know I was which is saying a lot because I was there. You should really go and grab a copy so you can become acquainted with my story. People, you can buy a copy of the first book for FREE July 11th - 13th. Isn't that amazing?
By the way, please don't let anyone know I've been here because Nicolaitanes' people are still after me. But do feel free to share this post about the free book.

It's great to see kids reading and enjoying my books.

I took my books to work today to show my coworkers. We got busy and I had them sitting on the counter. A couple of kids saw them and asked to look at them. One little boy actually started reading Sammy aloud to the other kids. The parents tell me they will have to buy copies of the books because he never reads like that. So awesome!

My Books

World Deception (Book 3 of The Apocalypse series)
Mysterious attacks on Israel have caused the world to take sides as WWIII wreaks havoc on the earth. One-fourth of the earth's population has disappeared while another fourth has been slaughtered. The UWR (United World Religion) is steadily gaining power with the help of Nicolaitanes Balac. Who will come to save the people of the world?

The World at War (Book 2 of The Apocalypse series)
The world is in complete chaos as major nations wage war against each other forcing mankind to take sides. The entire world is watching Nicolaitanes Balac and his continuing rise to global power. Will he be the one to save the world?  Is this who we should rely on for help or will this be the worst mistake that mankind has ever made?
Operation Dark Angel: The Rise of Nicolaitanes (Book 1 of The Apocalypse series)
A mysterious voice tells General Ludlow about a military operation that will bring an end to the world's evil. Nicolaitanes Balac is given political power beyond what anyone has ever been entrusted with before. Who is the voice? Is this the type of power that should be given to a single man? What role will Nicolaitanes play in ending the world's chaos? Will mankind be able to withstand the growing evil spreading across the globe? Will Operation Dark Angel succeed?

 Where Did I Come From?
Meet Sammy the turtle. Sammy is a baby turtle who is all alone. Where did he come from? His mother, Luna, was nowhere to be found. Where was she? Who created Sammy and his mother? Sammy goes on an adventure to not only find his mother, but to ultimately find out where he really came from.

Sodom: A Nation on its Knees
God is not pleased with the choices made by the great nation of the United States to the point where He's ready to destroy it. Wanting to give the people one last chance, He decides to send His angels, Michael and Gabriel, on a quest to find 5,000 righteous living within the nation. If they succeed, God will not destroy the US as He did the city of Sodom. Will His angels succeed? Will Michael and Gabriel find even one righteous living among all the wickedness? Join Michael and Gabriel on a quest that will have you on the edge-of-your seat wondering what will happen next.

What's New?

Hello to all my wonderful fans. Thanks for stopping by my blog to see what I'm up to. So here's some more author news.
Right now, I currently have a couple of new books in the works. I am working on three children's books, one young adult book and my thriller series, The Apocalypse.  I hope to have these completed soon and ready for publishing by summer. At least, that's the plan.  I am also putting into place some exciting research for a new series that I'm thinking about writing. I believe the research itself will be an exciting experience and who knows it may spawn new ideas for more books.
I also am hoping to schedule a couple of book signings for later this year. And if things work out well, there may be some wonderful new opportunities for my books. I do believe this year is going to be amazing and bring some awesome new books for you to enjoy.
Until then, stay tuned for more great news.

Wow! A Great Review

Five Star Review By Sallyanne Cole

I loved this little book and illustrations are fantastic!! Hunting season is on its way and the Turkeys really didn't want to be hunted this year. They find a hideout, but some hunters take it upon themselves to start a day earlier, which sends most the Turkeys into a panic. Pete says the good Lord will look after them, Wilbur leads the flock to the cabin to confront the ladies giving out the passes. They actually said why not relocate your family in the hunting season. Wilbur hadn't thought of that, but the Turkeys start to hit the ladies with the flowers they had picked from the meadow. Fighting does not resolve anything cried Peter and stopped Wilbur from hitting the ladies and believe in the good Lord. There is a lot that goes on in this little book but at the end of the day Pete believes the good Lord will help them and he does! This book is full of lessons and done in a way that is such fun. A fantastic children's book.

James Patterson Writing Class Day Two

Lesson 3 and 4 were really quite interesting. Mr. Patterson definitely had some inside pointers of things to do and not do while writing thrillers/mystery/suspense. Though it is catered for those genres, I think most of what he said can be applied to all genres. Well, it's time to work on assignments and write, write, write.

Update on The Turkeys are Coming

I got 3/4 of the first edits of The Turkeys are Coming finished this morning. So awesome!! Well, now to do lesson 2 of the class and work on my new book until I get sleepy.

New Thriller Coming Your Way

203 words written tonight on my potential thriller for the James Patterson contest. Not sure if this is the idea I will stick with for entry, but it's off to a good start.

James Patterson Writing Class

The clock on my day job went by so slowly today. Guess I was just anxious to get home so I could take the first class with James Patterson. I just finished the class and now, I actually have homework to do. I haven't had homework in years. (lol)

Update on The Apocalypse series

Sorry everyone. Working on The Apocalypse series has been put on hold as I take James Patterson's author class and work on my novel to be submitted in the contest. I have to come up with a thriller or mystery specifically to be written for this contest. I have some ideas but cannot use either thriller series I have as some of the installments have been published. I should be returning to my normal stuff around late April beginning of May. Wish me well. The grand prize is to co-author a book with Mr Patterson himself.

Good Morning

Good morning everyone. This morning I will work on the first edits of The Turkeys are Coming. Then after working my day job, I will do lesson two of my James Patterson class and work on the new novel until I get sleepy. Enjoy your day!

Still Alive....Still Free

Good day everyone. I know that I have not been on here lately to keep you updated. Things have been rather quiet and almost boring here la...
